these are a few of my favourite…
…books (I should specify, books written in English)! If you were expecting to read these are a few of my favourite things, I still am very proud of you for knowing that song and the amazing The Sound of Music starring my beloved Julie Andrews. but let’s move on…
Books are our best friends. And they hardly ever let us down. I find second hand books especially fascinating, they have a life of their own…and you can find the weirdest things forgotten between the pages, such as old creepy letters, black & white pictures, postcards from 20, 30, 40 years ago… I am extremely happy that I’ve found this small second hand books paradise in my town, and it has become my second house… A couple of these books were bought there, actually….
I feel that I would have missed out on such an awful lot had I not read these books. Inspiring, devastating, confusing, fascinating, terrifying, amusing, adorable, heart-wrenching and so much more. Life changing in strange, subtle ways. Check them out at your local bookstore and if you decide to ‘adopt’ one, I really hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
